Once Upon A Time...

...I got 9 hours of sleep over the course of three days and thereafter felt extremely exhausted. Then, I hopped on a plane to Hawaii with the expectation of soon finding myself in a tropical paradise resembling the photo from my prior post. Realizing how foolish I was for thinking I could ever escape Murphy's Law, however, I beheld this upon arrival at our lovely hotel on the North Shore:
You may notice that the sky and ocean are both grey--not blue. You may also notice that the palm trees aren't enjoying themselves in the sunlight but are rather being beat up by wind and rain.

I now know what Kevin's family in Home Alone felt like when they went to Florida for Chistmas only to find thunderstorms.

We did get some good food, I did see my sister and BYU-Hawaii, we did try to go to the beach, and a wave most absolutely did knock my mother down and bring her camera back with it to the ocean.

And, after checking the weather forecast and seeing this:

...I most certainly did book a return flight back to the mainland for tomorrow.

When you're indoors 24/7 as it is with school and studying and the like, you'll trust me when I say that the last thing you need is a week cooped up in a humid hotel room doing nothing but collecting acne.

So, see ya soon, Valencia. See ya soon.
