And So It Begins.

Hello world, Audrey Olson is back to the world of blogging.

I had always said I would start a blog when I started law school--kind of a way to keep track of the journey and what not (since sadly enough, I'm more inclined to keep up a blog than a journal.) And alright, law school hasn't started yet, but it's finally August aka the month it all begins, I have officially begun moving into my apartment in Sandy Eggo, am getting emails about first-year orientation--so I figured, why not start now while I actually have the time and energy?

With that being said, here I am. Summer is almost officially over. Sad? Surprisingly yes. It may have something to do with the fact that my extensively long summer has included a number of adventurous and lavish vacations (Bermuda, I miss you every day), a refreshing absence of responsibility, and a great deal of much-needed sleep. Or it could be the habitual food outings with best friends, hilariously weird voices with sisters, days laying out by the pool, hours spent falling in love with running, and nights with Mr. Mike that make me hate the Fall for ending. Either way, Summer 2011, you have been amazing and you will be greatly, greatly missed.
On the flip side, there really are few things that I love more than the thought of my new apartment in San Diego. This past Monday my dad and I picked up the keys to my new place and moved in some boxes in addition to a couple of new purchases from IKEA. My dad really is the best, he did a lot of great work... and it made me realize the absolute necessity of someday having a husband who can lift heavy boxes. And I mean really heavy boxes. Anyways, so I have this great new place, and to match it my new roommate Reina is another first year law student and probably one of the nicest people ever. Needless to say, I think I'm getting myself into a good set up.

I officially move into my apartment on August 15, and my orientation is August 17-19 and I couldn't be more excited. I have been waiting to start law school since I took the LSAT last October and it is finally, finally here. I used to be terrified, but now that it's at my toes I couldn't be more determined and more ready to give it my all and have the time of my life. It's a good feeling. Until then, however, I have completely turned into Martha Stewart. It feels like all I do these days is craft, but I am seriously loving it. Weird? Probably. Regardless, it's safe to say my new apartment is going to look adorable.

My most recent creation as of late has been this little baby:
(Please note BYU diploma in background awww yeahhh)
It's purely decorative, but it's made of soap flowers and it smells soooo good and will look oh so lovely sitting in my bathroom.

So basically, the conclusion is that if I do end up losing my mind in law school at least I will have very cute decorations to come home to. There you have it folks, I'm completely set.
